The Sr. Financial/Planning Analyst will report directly to the Director of Central Planning
DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Financial/Planning Analyst is responsible for complex reporting and analysis activities for the Central/Merchandise Planning functions. Role will support a variety of activities within the Planning function, including dedicated support to special projects. This position will report directly to the Director of Central Planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must possess ability to:
Perform business, financial and operational analysis to help influence senior management decision making
Dissect and analyze complex business issues in a fast-paced environment
Partner with non-financial stakeholders across the business to drive results
Develop and oversee new business plans for new or emerging opportunities
Prepare weekly/monthly commentary, key company initiatives, business results for senior management
Refine existing planning models and develop new planning models to better predict merchandise and/or business performance
Support merchandise planning processes as needed
Perform special projects and/or senior leadership assigned analysis as directed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Three to five years of financial analysis, budgeting and allocation experience
Minimum two years of experience in an analysis/planning role
Experience in retail or apparel manufacturing environment a plus
Ability to model complex business questions/issues
Ability to think analytically and creatively
Demonstrated initiative and drive to achieve results
Strong oral and written presentation skills
Advanced PC skills including Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Experience working with operations research tools a plus
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or mathematics preferred. Advanced degree, MBA preferred.
